Am I H-Weezy ???

Hardy Weinberg Problem:
population= 1000

(Frequency of Homozygous Recessive Individuals)= .02

(Frequency of Dominant allele)= .14

p² (Frequency of Homozygous Dominant Individuals)= .74

p (Frequency of Recessive allele)= .86

2pq (Frequency of Heterozygous Individuals) = .24

  • Heterozygous Individuals in population= 240
  • Homozygous Recessive Individuals in population= 20
  • Homozygous Dominant Individuals in population= 740

Steps:

1. Take square root of to get q
               √q² = q
2. Subtract the q value from 1 to get p.
               1-q = p
3. Square p to get .
               p x p =
4. Multiply 2 times the values p & q to get 2pq
               2 x p x q = 2pq
5. Multiply by 1000(population) to obtain the frequency of HomozygousRecessive individuals.
Multiply by 1000 to obtain the frequency of Homozygous Dominant individuals.
Multiply 2pq by 1000 to obtain the frequency of Heterozygous individuals.
